About the Memorials

Honoring All Veterans

  • The purpose of Virtual Veterans Memorial is to provide a place for family and friends to honor their Veteran regardless of their cause of death.
  • We welcome memorial tributes for Veterans who have died from Invisible Wounds of War.
  • You may choose to specify your Veteran’s cause of death on the submission form. If you leave this field blank your Veteran will be noted as a “Memorial Tribute”
  • All memorials go through an approval process to ensure no derogatory content is included.

Standard Memorial

  • Veteran’s Name, Branch of Service, Rank, War Served, Birth and Death dates will appear on the Memorial Tile.
  • Clicking on the Tile will open up a Guestbook where any user can share a memory or make a comment about the veteran.
  • All Guest Book comments will go through an approval process before appearing on the site.

Enhanced Memorial

  • Veteran’s Name, Branch of Service, Rank, War Served, Birth and Death dates will appear on the Memorial Tile.
  • The Veteran’s Profile and information submitted by the user including photos and other personal information honoring the life of the Veteran will appear on the tribute.
  • Clicking on the Tile will open up a Guestbook where any user can share a memory or make a comment about the veteran.
  • All Guest Book comments will go through an approval process before appearing on the site.

Our Process

  • Upon submitting your Veteran’s details, a member of the Virtual Veterans Memorial team will review and publish the memorial tribute within 7 business days
  • Check the Memorials page for your veteran after 7 business days
